Harvard Environmental Fellows Program 2025 in the USA

The Harvard Environmental Fellows Program 2025, offered by the Salata Institute for Climate and Sustainability, supports research and education on environmental issues and their impact on human society. Aligned with the Institute's mission, the program seeks to develop lasting, fair, and equitable solutions to challenges posed by climate change. It also serves as a hub for collaboration across Harvard University's various academic disciplines.

This international fellowship aims to foster the development of talented scholars dedicated to environmental research. Participants will work with leading researchers at Harvard, building connections between different schools and research areas. Established by the Harvard University Center for the Environment (HUCE), the program gives recent PhD graduates the chance to leverage Harvard’s vast resources to tackle pressing environmental problems.

During the two-year fellowship, participants will collaborate with Harvard faculty from any department or school, forming a network of researchers and strengthening cross-university ties. HUCE organizes extracurricular activities to help fellows connect and learn from one another. Every two weeks, fellows, along with faculty members and guest speakers, gather for dinners to exchange ideas and insights on topics related to the environment and sustainability.

The selection committee will choose a diverse group of fellows with varied backgrounds, skills, and academic interests. The fellowship covers a broad range of study fields, including the sciences, economics, law, government, public policy, public health, medicine, design, and the humanities. Fellows will receive a monthly stipend, relocation assistance, and an annual travel allowance.
