Applications are now open for the prestigious Chevening Energy Market Reform Fellowship! This fellowship, funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office, provides senior professionals from China's energy sector the opportunity to spend three months in Dundee, UK, as a visiting Chevening Fellow.

Programme Overview

The fellowship focuses on developing research aligned with the UK-China Energy Dialogue. Fellows will spend their time at the University of Dundee, working on a specific research project under the guidance of an academic supervisor from the Centre for Energy, Petroleum and Mineral Law Policy (CEPMLP).

During the fellowship, participants will:

• Have full access to classes, lectures, and seminars at the University of Dundee.
• Benefit from the supervision and support of a CEPMLP academic throughout their research.
• Participate in cultural activities organized by the Chevening Secretariat and the FCDO.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the fellowship, applicants must:

1. Be a national of China and intend to return to China after the fellowship.
2. Hold a postgraduate qualification or possess equivalent professional experience in a relevant field.
3. Have 5+ years of significant professional experience in the energy sector.
4. Currently be employed or a PhD candidate (excluding UK/EU or US universities).
5. Not hold dual nationality, including British citizenship (exceptions apply).
6. Not be employed by, or closely related to an employee of, His Majesty’s Government or Chevening partner organizations within the last two years.
7. If previously funded by HMG, applicants must demonstrate career progression since their previous award.
