African Youth Negotiators Fellowship 2025
The African Youth Negotiators Fellowship, launched by the Green Africa Youth Organization (GAYO), is an empowering initiative aimed at building the capacities of young Africans in climate governance, diplomacy, and negotiations. The program, with a particular focus on United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) processes, equips participants with the necessary skills to engage in impactful climate discussions at the global level.
As climate issues take center stage in global discussions, African youth voices are becoming more prominent in multilateral forums such as the UNFCCC Conferences of the Parties (COP). However, despite the growing presence, the impact of young participants has been limited. The African Youth Negotiators Fellowship seeks to change this narrative by offering targeted capacity-building to young Africans, ensuring their contributions are both impactful and influential in shaping climate policy.
